Following a decade of victories, Fedor Emelianenko, with his right eye swollen shut, awaits the official announcement that he had just lost his second fight in a row. Photo by Esther Lin/Strikeforce

“The Last Emperor” Fedor Emelianenko may have just fought, and lost, his last professional mixed martial arts fight. For pro MMA heavyweights, even to fight Fedor is considered maybe the biggest honor in the sport.

To actually defeat Emelianenko holds a value level that surpasses even the most coveted championship title. The rare man who holds a win over Fedor belongs to a club so elite, that most fighters would not even be allowed to take out their trash.

But after last night it appears the club has shut its doors forever, and will not be accepting any new members. Ever. Never. Ever. In fact, you can’t even apply. Or think about it. You can’t even wish you were a member… Okay maybe you can wish for it, but that’s it.

  1. Thank you for any other wonderful post. Where else could anybody get that kind of info in such an ideal way of writing? I’ve a presentation next week, and I’m on the search for such information.
