A few days ago, UFC middleweight champ and arguably the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world Anderson Silva made the statement that he would be interested in fighting Michael Bisping on “The Count’s” home turf in England.

Bisping carries an impressive record of 20-3 and recent wins over Yoshihiro Akiyama and Dan Miller have certainly put him on the right track. If he were to get past Jorge Rivera at UFC 127 in Australia on Feb. 27, and especially if he did it in impressive fashion, he could be on the verge of a shot at the champ.

Keep in mind though, Silva has other things to worry about right now. On Feb. 5 he will have to defend his title against Vitor Belfort at UFC 126, and Belfort is enough for any man to worry about at one time.

However, there could be a scenario in the near future where we see Bisping and Silva face off and “The Count” says it would be an honor:

What do you think? Is Bisping ready to step into “The Spider’s” web or would it be a one-sided thrashing? And would it be fun to watch either way?
