Shane del Rosario will take on fellow Strikeforce prospect Lavar Johnson on Feb. 12.

Strikeforce on Jan. 11 announced the addition of three more heavyweight bouts to round out the main card of its Feb. 12 show in East Rutherford, N.J., which is being co-promoted with M-1.

In one of the matches, top Challengers series prospects Shane del Rosario (10-0) and Lavar Johnson (15-3) will square off. Del Rosario has yet to go the distance in his career and only had one fight go beyond the first round. His opponent, Johnson, is riding a seven-fight win streak, most recently scoring a first round knockout against Virgil Zwicker at Strikeforce Challengers 11 on Oct. 22.

Strikeforce also announced Chad Griggs (9-1) vs. Gian Villante (7-1). Griggs, an International Fight League veteran, scored his biggest win to date on Aug. 21, defeating former pro wrestling superstar Bobby Lashley by TKO. Villante wrestled and played football at Hofstra University and tried out for the NFL before transitioning to mixed martial arts.

The other main card fight added to the Feb. 12 show is Valentijn Overeem (28-25) vs. Ray Sefo (2-0). Overeem, the brother of MMA and K-1 star Alistair, has competed in MMA since 1996, and through his ups and downs, picked up wins over the likes of Randy Couture, Renato “Babalu” Sobral, and Ian Freeman. Sefo, meanwhile, is best known for his K-1 expertise.

The fight card features former PRIDE kingpin Fedor Emelianenko vs. Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva and former UFC champion Andrei Arlovski vs. Sergei Kharitonov.
