After taking a hiatus, Poland’s KSW Federation has revived their KSW Extra series. The Extra series can be compared to Strikeforce’s Challengers series in that it focuses on developing talent for their big show.

On Jan. 29, “KSW Extra 2: President Cup” will take place in Elk, Mazury under the honorary patronage of Elk’s president, Mr. Tomasz Andrukievicz.

The show will consist of fourteen welterweight fighters from Poland and abroad who will participate in a tournament format. The quarterfinals and semifinals will be contested at this event, with the finals taking place at KSW 15 on March 19.

As of now, Aslambek Saidov and Robert Radomski are the first confirmed participants.

In addition to the tournament, “KSW Extra 2: President Cup” will also feature two non-tournament bouts, the first of which is a middleweight bout between former KSW tournament champions Antoni Chmielewski and Vitor Nobrega. This fight will headline the card.

In the second non-tournament bout, KSW 14 vet Artur Sovinski, who trains with Silesian Cage Club in Katowice, will face off with a yet to be announced opponent.

“KSW Extra 2: President Cup” will broadcast live on Polsat Sport.
