Jorge Rivera didn’t get to fight at UFC 122 when his opponent, Alessio Sakara had to pull out of their bout at the last moment due to illness.

Shortly after, Rivera accepted a bout with Michael Bisping, which has now been confirmed for UFC 127 in Australia, and Rivera’s manager, Lex McMahon was quick to add fuel to the fire speaking with MMAWeekly.com, as he questioned whether Bisping was “man enough” to step into the Octagon with Rivera.

“UFC likes the fight, we like the fight, but I don’t think Bisping is man enough to fight Jorge,” McMahon said. “He has no warrior spirit, he knows Jorge will break his will and crush him.”

Bisping, who has never been the type to bite his tongue, issued a response to the statements from the camp of Rivera, saying that he was hoping for a “higher profile opponent,” and that he didn’t understand where the animosity from Rivera was coming from.

“I don’t know what his problem is,” said Bisping. “He’s just another asshole that’s going to get beat.”
