Spencer Fisher and Ross Pearson are expected to meet at UFC 127. The card will take place at Acer Arena in Sydney Australia on Feb. 27.

Although the bout has not been officially announced, MMAJunkie has reported that the fighters have verbally agreed to the contest.

Fisher got back on the winning track at UFC 120, defeating Kurt Warburton to snap a two-fight losing streak. He has been fighting in the UFC since 2005 and holds impressive victories over Caol Uno, Jeremy Stephens and Thiago Alves.

Pearson earned a shot in the UFC after winning the lightweight tournament on the ninth season of The Ultimate Fighter. In his last fight, he suffered his first loss in the UFC via submission courtesy of Cole Miller early in round two. Prior to that, Pearson had won three-straight fights over Andre Winner, Aaron Riley and Dennis Siver.

UFC 127 will mark the promotion’s return to both the Acer Arena and Australia. The venue previously hosted UFC 110, which saw Cain Velasquez defeat Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in the main event.

So far, a pair of other bouts have been announced for UFC 127. In a welterweight contest, B.J. Penn will return to action fresh off of a lightning quick TKO over Matt Hughes to take on Jon Fitch, and lightweight contender George Sotiropoulos will face Siver.
