Dana White talks about his undying love for all MMA websites and why Alistair Overeem is the undisputed heavyweight king of MMA. — Now imagine the exact opposite of those statements and you will get the gist of what this interview is about.

White starts off though explaining why Roy Nelson won’t be fighting in the UFC anytime soon. According to White, Nelson is locked into a bad contract with another promotion. Although White doesn’t mention it here, that other promotion is Roy Jones’ Jr.’s Square Ring, Inc. Nelson fought Jeff Monson on one of their cards last year prior to his appearance on The Ultimate Fighter 10.

White also answers the obligatory Fedor Emelianenko questions before the conversation turns to Alistair Overeem and if the UFC has any interest in him. White says he would be interested in trying to sign Overeem once his current Strikeforce contract is up, but makes it clear, there is no urgency on his part to sign him and also dismisses anyone that would rank Overeem in the top-10.

White explains his point:

“You know what this is? It’s another Fedor thing. UFC doesn’t have him, so we’re going to rank him in the top 10 even though the guy is only fighting in [expletive] K-1. He hasn’t defended his MMA title in how long? It’s insane. … I like him. I have nothing but respect for him, he’s a good guy. It’s an absolute [expletive] joke that anyone would rank him in the top-10. And anyone that wants to debate with me and tell me why Alistair Overeem should be ranked in the top-10 of the MMA heavyweight division, fire away. I’m ready. I want to hear it. Can’t wait. And if on your rankings if you have him in the top-10 you ought to be embarrassed.”

White also has some thoughts on Eddie Alvarez who people are talking about as being on of the top 155-pounders in the world, saying he looks good and looks promising, but he just “beat a kid who lost four fights in a row,” Roger Huerta. White amusingly points out the last fight Huerta won was a street fight in Texas.

Here’s more from Dana talking about Nate Marquardt choking in the big fights, the Jackson camp and more.
