Chicago-area prospect Mike Lullo (8-2) will make his UFC debut at UFC 123 on Nov. 20 against the highly-touted Edson Mendes Junior (6-0), according to MMAFighting.com, replacing the injured Darren Elkins on short notice.

According to MMARecap.com, Lullo has signed a four-fight deal with the UFC. That site also interviewed Lullo before his last fight, a win over Tyler Combs, which you can check out here to get more background on the UFC newcomer. From the looks of things, Lullo has a strong full guard and six of his eight wins have come via submission.

In Junior, Lullo faces a very athletic opponent with Muay Thai skills some have said compares favorably to UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo.
