Elyria OH. November 4, 2010 – Father and son team, Lorenzo and Joe Gentile, founders of Ohio’s local MMA promotion CageStars’, recently signed a deal with James Jeda, founder of Las Vegas based JJM Enterprises, LLC. As a result, CageStars’ name and brand will now be defined as Rocktagon MMA.
According to Rocktagon MMA founder and CEO James Jeda, “Rocktagon MMA is a mixed martial arts and entrainment group that will bring great shows to the community and help boost the economy in Elyria as well. We are very excited about hosting shows here and in other cities across the country. As president and co-owner of Rocktagon MMA, Lorenzo Gentile will spearhead the company’s efforts to break into the national scene.”
Rocktagon MMA will host a series of amateur mixed martial arts shows appropriately named “Cage Stars Elite Series”. The first Amateur mixed martial arts event under the Rocktagon name will debut on November 20, 2010.. “Amateur Elite Series 1” is stacked with some of the top Amateur MMA talent on the East Coast.
Lorenzo Gentile had this to say, “I am very excited about this new venture, launching the Amateur Elite Series, and collaborating with everyone associated with this project in our community. Ohio is a hot bed for the sport of MMA and up-and-coming fighters. As a company, we plan to take qualified local fighters from obscurity to the national level.”
In 2011, Rocktagon MMA will expand their Elite Series to include Amateur and Professional MMA bouts.. The organization will be hosting a number of events, offering contenders in Ohio and the Northeast the best of both worlds. Fighters can compete close to home while using the “Cage Stars Elite Series” as a platform to advance their careers. Rocktagon MMA will guide and promotes fighters that possess the raw talent and heart that it takes to make it in the sport of MMA. This will culminate into Rocktagon MMA future plans to expand their horizons by hosting events in arenas throughout the country in 2011.
