With UFC President Dana White set to make a “major” announcement tomorrow during a media call at 1pm eastern, ESPN’s “Pardon the Interruption” may have stolen his thunder. According to MMAWeekly and 5th Round, PTI announced that the UFC will launch its own television network.
White hinted at the possibility in a recent interview with BroadcastingCable.com. However, it is unclear whether PTI just happened to leak the news early or if it’s all a coincidence. Wouldn’t be a strange twist if the announcement was spoiled by two broadcasters as averse to MMA as Michael Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser. I certainly hope not.
