After earlier reports that WEC 145-pound champion Jose Aldo’s management team turned down a proposed Aldo vs. Kenny Florian matchup in the UFC this December, Florian made his opinion known on the matter and said via Twitter that he’d be more than happy to fight Aldo.

“Jose Aldo is as good as it gets & is one of the best pnd 4 pnd. Who wouldn’t want to take that fight?! I’m here to fight the best.”

Florian later Tweeted, “The fans will get what they want if they make their voice heard. If you wanna see a particular fight then let the UFC know.”

In his last fight, Florian lost a decision to Gray Maynard at UFC 118 in a bout to determine the number one contender at lightweight. Florian has fought for the title on two previous occasions, losing both times to Sean Sherk and B.J. Penn, and holds an 11-4 record inside the Octagon.
