On Aug. 12, 2010, Bellator middleweight champ Hector Lombard (26-2-1) knocked out former Green Bay Packers running back Herbert “Whisper” Goodman just 38-seconds into their Bellator 24 fight. In his post-fight interview Lombard called out the much bigger heavyweight legend Josh Barnett (29-5).

If you heard about this and wondered what it was about, or if you didn’t hear about it until just now and it has peaked your interest, or if this is your first time hearing of it and you could care less — whatever the case may be, MMA investigative journalist Marcos Villegas wanted to get to the bottom of the beef between these two.

So he traveled to Fullerton, Calif., and sought out Erik Paulson who runs CSW Training Center, where Lombard and Barnett used to train together. Paulson reveals the origins of the Barnett-Lombard beef and talks about what was supposed to be a five minute boxing sparring session turning into a 32-minute all out bloody war and what Barnett did to Lombard that he never forgave him for.
