New York, NY, October 8, 2010 – Spike TV will showcase a middleweight showdown between two former All-American wrestlers and a welterweight battle featuring a former standout performer on “The Ultimate Fighter” and one of the sport’s rising stars in live undercard bouts from “UFC 123: Rampage vs. Machida” on Saturday, November 20, at 9:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM PT. Emanating from The Palace in Auburn Hills, MI,  Mark Munoz will take on Aaron Simpson in a middleweight clash, and Matt Brown goes up against Canadian prodigy Rory McDonald.

Before pursuing a mixed martial arts career, Mark Munoz (8-2) was a two-time All American wrestler at Oklahoma St. University where he captured two consecutive Big 12 titles in the 197 lb division. Fighting out of Vallejo, CA where he trains with Team Black House, Munoz has won three of his last four bouts, and he’s looking to start a new winning streak on November 20.

Similar to Munoz, Aaron Simpson (7-1) was a standout wrestler in college, as he was a two-time All-American at Arizona State University. A former cast member of the hit show “American Gladiators,” Simpson is fighting out of Phoenix, AZ and has an impressive fighting resume that includes victories over Ed Herman Tom Lawlor.   In fact, he had won his first seven pro bouts before losing a hard-fought scrap against Chris Leben in June.

Fighting out of Seattle, WA Matt Brown (13-9) gained acclaim in the mixed martial arts world with an impressive showing on Season 7 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” before losing in the quarterfinals to eventual winner, Amir Sadollah.  Since then, Brown has won four fights in the Octagon®, including victories over fellow TUF alumni James Wilks, Matt Arroyo and Pete Sell.

Canada’s Rory MacDonald (10-1) was a perfect 10-0 as a pro fighter before a third round TKO loss to Carlos Condit at UFC 115 in June that won “Fight of the Night” honors.  One of the youngest fighters in the UFC, the 21-year old phenom is one of the division’s rising stars and he hopes to continue his ascent against Brown.
