UFC heavyweights Frank Mir (13-5) and Mirko Cro Cop (27-7-2) fielded questions from the press Wednesday about their upcoming main event bout at UFC 119, scheduled for Sept. 25 in Indianapolis, Ind. Cro Cop was in a playful mood, cracking jokes that can only come from the humor of a Croatian Lucko Anti-Terrorist Unit Commander.

ProMMAnow.com participated in the call and asked Mir about dealing with the challenges the change in opponents has brought. Mir was originally scheduled to face Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in a rematch, but in mid-August, Nogueira pulled out due to injury and Cro Cop stepped in as a replacement.

Mir acknowledges the differences between Cro Cop and Nogueira, but he feels he has more to gain personally with a win over Cro Cop than another win over Nogueira and because of that he has been extremely motivated.

We also asked Cro Cop, when taking into consideration his long career, how much longer he would like to continue fighting. Suprisingly, the legendary striker said it’s possible this could be his last fight. He’s taking it fight by fight, but if he were to suffer another significant injury he doesn’t feel like he could bounce back like he once could, and it would be best to hang it up.

Those were just a couple of our questions, but there’s much more to the 47:00 minute call. We  recorded it for your listening pleasure, so enjoy the podcast.
