Undefeated Jesse Finney (7-0), out of St. Louis, Mo., will take on UFC veteran Josh Neer (27-10-1) in the main event for Fight Me MMA’s inaugural show at the Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo., on Aug. 14.

ProMMAnow.com was notified Tuesday of the match-up from Neer’s manager, Mickey Dubberly of KO Dynasty.

If the name Jesse Finney sounds familiar, it is because he fought and won on Strikeforce’s last two St. Louis cards. He submitted Josh Bumgarner at “Lawler vs. Shields” in June 2009 and submitted Justin DeMoney at “Heavy Artillery” last month.

He has seven fights, seven victories, and the last six fights he has finished in the first round. Jesse Finney is the real deal. If you are in the St. Louis area and looking for a place to train, check out Finney’s MMA.

Josh Neer was cut from the UFC at the end of 2009 following back-to-back losses to Kurt Pellegrino and Gleison Tibau.

Neer bounced back at the beginning of this year with a first round knockout win over Matt Delanoit at Max Fights DM in January and a first round submission victory over Anselmo Martinez at Shark Fights 8 in February.

Neer’s most recent bout was against top ten lightweight Eddie Alvarez at “Bellator 17” last month. Heavy-handed and tough as always, Neer put up a good fight but Alvarez caught him with a rear-naked choke in the second round and put him to sleep. Neer refused to tap.

This debut event entitled, “Fight Me 1 – The Battle Begins” will be streamed live online at www.fightmemma.com in high definition (HD). More bouts for this card will be announced in the coming weeks.

Fight Me is the latest venture from the founders and management of the American Drag Racing League (ADRL).
