Marcus Sursa will be replacing Wayne Cole on this Thursday’s Bellator 20 card. Sursa will now face Eddie Sanchez in a heavyweight bout on the main card. The card will take place at the Majestic Theatre in San Antionio, Texas.

According to an MMAJunkie report, Cole failed to file his medical records with the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation in time too be cleared for the fight.

A student of Greg Jackson, Sursa began fighting as a professional back in 2005. He began his career with back-to-back victories before dropping four-straight fights. In his last fight, Trevor Prangley defeated him via rear-naked choke to take the Shark fights light heavyweight championship. The loss halted a career-best-four-fight winning streak.

Sanchez fought six times for the UFC between 2006 and 2008. He holds a 3-3 record under the Zuffa promotional banner. In 2009, Sanchez returned to form and scored three-straight victories. He last fought for Bellator back on May 15, 2009, when he scored KO victory over Jay White in only 10 seconds.

Headlining Bellator 20 is a pair of middleweight tournament semifinal bouts. Bryan Baker will take on Eric Schambari, while last season’s tournament runner up, Jared Hess will face Alexander Shlemenko.
