If you aren’t totally turned off by Rampage Jackson at this point and can stand to watch this interview, you will basically hear him make excuses and whine for nearly ten minutes about everything from his fight with Forrest Griffin to the UFC not “hooking up” some of the top fighters in each weight class (no doubt Rampage includes himself in this category) with a “nice expensive car” or some other “tax write-offable” gift after they sold a 10% share of the company to Flash.

Rampage also says basically it was his management who wanted him to keep fighting, and if it was up to him he would have stayed retired. He says he really wanted to promote “his own thing like De La Hoya” and  he “doesn’t need the UFC banner and the way they don’t want you to make money…”

How can the UFC promote a fighter who is going to bash them in public like this?

Rampage goes on to say the UFC “does have a lot of good qualities” and he re-signed a six-fight contract with the UFC, but already they “messed things up” and he is “not happy with them again.”
