SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The weigh-ins for “WEC 48: Aldo vs. Faber” took place today at ARCO Arena, the same location that will host Saturday night’s first ever WEC pay-per-view. All fighters successfully made weight, although featherweight champ Jose Aldo had to get naked to make 145 lbs. His opponent Urijah Faber weighed in at 144 ½ lbs.
WEC 48 will feature two title fights, including a main event between Aldo and Faber, and a co-main event featuring lightweight champion Benson Henderson taking on Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in a rematch from an Oct. 2009 bout in which Cerrone lost a unanimous decision.

Two “Aldo vs. Faber” preliminary fights will air live Saturday night on Spike TV beginning at 6:00 p.m. PT/9:00 p.m. ET, and the “Aldo vs. Faber” live pay-per-view begins at 7:00 p.m. PT/10:00 p.m. ET.
