Kiko France

Empire Fighting Championship, one of the fastest-growing MMA promotions in the United States, will present “A Night of Reckoning III” this Friday, April 23rd, live from the Harrah’s Casino in Tunica, Mississippi.

The event will feature a main event light heavyweight title fight between Kiko France (4-0) and Tuscaloosa, Alabama’s own Chris Davis (9-2). The co-main event will feature Daisy of Love star and Ultimate Fighter season 7 contestant Jeremiah Riggs (3-4) taking on Keith Johnson (5-3), a former Alabama High School State Wrestling Champion.

“A Night of Reckoning III” will be shown live on GoFightLive.tv. Tickets start at $19 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

Fransisco “Kiko” France (4-0) currently serves as the Head Brazilian jiu jitsu instructor at American Top Team of Missouri. France is a black belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu and is also a two time Pan-American champion, two time Brazilian State champion, two time NAGA champion, Brazileiro champion, and Brazilian National champion.

Despite all of France’s accolades he has achieved even more success in the cage. He has been on a tear since making his pro debut in July 2008 and has not been out of the first round in any of his four fights. In four professional fights his average fight lasts for less than one minute.

In his last outing it only took France 53 seconds to submit Tony Roberts at Empire’s “Night of Reckoning II” in February. After such an impressive showing France was named as the #1 contender for the newly formed Empire Fights light heavyweight title.

But France’s next challenge in Tunica will be no pushover, as he will face the heavy-handed Chris Davis at Friday’s “A Night of Reckoning III.” The Tuscaloosa native comes into the fight on an impressive two fight winning streak. Both wins were by TKO in the first round. In January Davis knocked out Brian Imes halfway through the first round. “The Professional” has fought all over the south and has only been defeated by UFC veterans Vinny Magalhaes and Jeremy Horn.

Tyler Sory, the President of Empire Fights is excited to have France vs. Davis headlining the show. “It is going to be a tough fight for Kiko,” explained Sory. “Kiko has walked through everyone we have put in front of him and Chris Davis is no joke. This guy has knocked out some really good fighters and Kiko shouldn’t take him lightly. If Kiko tries to stand with him we could see Davis leave the building as the new champion. Everyone knows Kiko is a stud on the ground but Davis has an underrated ground game and we expect Davis to really bring it April 23rd. The winner of this fight deserves to be our new light heavyweight champion.”

In addition to “Kiko” France vs. Chris Davis, there are many more fights that will excite the Midsouth MMA fans in attendance.

The “Night of Reckoning III” fight card will feature;

  • Jeremiah Riggs vs. Keith Johnson
  • Benji Baker vs. Goldman Butler
  • Johnathan Mackles vs. Matt Hamilton
  • Cory Holder vs. Austin Lyons
  • Anthony Jones vs. Tim Galluzzi
  • Joel Cooper vs. Doug Larson
  • Chris Hall vs. Tony Way
