Jake Rosholt returned to action this past weekend for the first time since getting cut from the UFC. He took on Rudy Lindsey at XFL March Badness. Thanks to PureFight.org there is video of the whole event. Rosholt was a three-time NCAA champion and four-time all-American at Oklahoma State University.

Jake Rosholt’s MMA career is an interesting case. Due to his wrestling and training with Marc Laimon his ground game is definitely his strong suit. However, both of his losses have come in scrambles on the floor. Considering this situation it is great that Rosholt is able to take fights like this to improve. There was no doubt he was going to beat Lindsey, so he used the fight as an opportunity to improve. He did not freeze on the ground and transitioned to a submission. Let’s hope he can get a few fights like this before moving back up to the big show.
