“MFC 24: Heat XC” takes place tonight, Feb. 26, 2010, at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Alberta, Canada. It is an end of an era of sorts, as this will be the final fight card at the venue after hosting 10 MFC events.
The event is available on PPV for $9.99 via an online live stream at 9:00 p.m. CT, on MFC’s website. The main card will feature a bout between UFC veterans Yves Edwards (36-15-1 MMA, 6-3 UFC) and Derrick “The Eraser” Noble (25-12-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC).

Ryan McClain (9-4) vs Dwayne Lewis (10-4)
Round 1 – Lewis comes flying out of his corner with a flying knee. He backs McClain up and lands a big uppercut. McClain to the body with a kick. Lewis comes back with a 3 punch combo to the body and head of McClain. Lewis scores with a jab, then drops and connects to the body. Lewis with a flurry but McClain blocks most of the punches. Lewis to the leg, then head with his kicks. McClain counters with a kick of his own. Lewis scores with a kick/punch combo. To the clinch, with McClain connecting with a knee to the body. Lewis counters straight to the pills with a knee. McClain ready for action after the shot to the groin. Lewis lands a kick as McClain steps in. McClain slips to the mat but is back on his feet quickly with a smile on his face. McClain scores to the body with a kick. Lewis lands a stiff jab, but misses with the right. Lewis steps in and scores to the body, then lands an uppercut, grabs the neck of McClain and jumps guard at the bell. Pro MMA Now scores Round 1 for Lewis, 10-9.
Round 2 – McClain scores with a jab. Lewis counters with a kick to the body. Right hand scores for Lewis. Lewis with an inside leg kick, then back to the head with a punch that drops McClain. McClain is bleeding badly and is now on his knees with Lewis on his back. Lewis puts McClain on his back, goes to the crucifix and is landing big punches and elbows to the bloodied McClain. Travis “The Gladiator” Galbraith (17-6) vs Tom “Kong” Watson (10-3)
Round 1 – Galbraith lands 2 jabs to start, then a kick to the legs of Watson. Galbraith to the clinch and working to get Watson to the mat. Galbraith still working for the take down but Watson is defending nicely. They disengage, then both miss with jabs. Watson goes headhunting and lands a huge kick to the head of Galbraith and it’s over!! Tom Watson def. Travis Galbraith by KO (head kick) at 1:56 of Round 1.
Yves Edwards (36-15-1) vs Derrick “The Eraser” Noble (25-12-1)
Round 1 – Noble goes high but misses with the kick. Edwards comes back and lands with a leg kick. Noble scores with a kick of his own. Edwards to the body with a right hand. Noble with an inside leg kick. Both fighters exchanging kicks now. Tentative start to the main event so far. Edwards steps in and lands a combo, then stuns Noble with a left hand. Noble recovers quickly as the fighters take the center of the ring. One and done for the most part from both guys so far. Inside leg kick scores for Noble. Edwards scores with a right hand to the body. Noble misses to the head with a kick again. Edwards steps in and lands a huge straight right hand that drops Noble. Edwards follows him to the ground and finishes the fight with unanswered strikes to the prone Noble. The referee steps in and stops it. Yves Edwards def.
