Saturday night PROMMA.INFO’s Brian Furby attended “Hardrock MMA 14” in Danville, Ky. at the Danville National Guard Armory. I kept up with the action throughout the event. Featuring thirteen fights (11 amateur and two pro), Hardrock delivered some exciting finishes and a lot of action, with only two fights making it out of the first round.

Here is my play-by-play and event commentary.

Pro fighter Rob Mooney is serving as tonight’s referee. As I mentioned at the Wicktagon show last month, Mooney has the distinction of being one of the most experienced referees in the country, with the number of bouts he has refereed in the thousands.

  1. I didn’t know you were there. Next time say “hi”. It was fun night but I was a little worried for Yannick the first round. Thomas and Al did well.

  2. Yeah, sorry about that, got caught up talking to some of the Hardrock staff. Yannick did a great job – he hung in there and was able to deliver a lot of good shots as well as take a lot of good ones. Like I said, a Fight of the Night performance. Good showings by all the SSF guys.
