Dennis Hallman returns to the Octagon after four years to face John Howard.

Dennis “Superman” Hallman is expected to make his first UFC appearance in four years when he faces John “Doomsday” Howard inside the Octagon later this year.

MMAJunkie.com is reporting the fight is scheduled for UFC 106 which is set to take place on Nov. 21 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nev. However, our source (along with Hallman’s manager) indicates the fight will take place on Dec. 5, which would make it part of The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale being held at the Palms Casino Resort also in Las Vegas.

PROMMA.INFO received news of the match-up Sunday evening from a source close to Howard’s management.

John Howard (12-4) arrived in the UFC in Jan. 2009 when he won a split decision over Chris Wilson at UFC 94. Most recently he defeated Tamdan “The Barn Cat” McCrory in another split decision at UFC 101 on Aug. 8.

Dennis Hallman (41-12-2 )was last inside the Octagon at UFC 55 when he lost a unanimous decision to Jorge Rivera. Since then, Superman has gone 7-1 in various organizations including the IFL and Strikeforce.

Hallman’s last bout was a rear-naked choke victory over Justin Davis at Strikeforce Challenger series 2 back in June. In classic Superman fashion, it took him only 20 seconds to secure the submission and cause Davis to tap.

Stay tuned to PROMMA.INFO for an official confirmation on the date of this fight.
