Yves Edwards vs. James Warfield
Gurgel informs us that 14 of Warfield’s 15 wins have come by (T)KO. This should be a great stand up war, as long as they don’t slip all over the place. Warfield has fought at heavyweight before. Main Event:

Jorge Patino vs. Roan Carneiro
Roan Carneiro is the fighter representing American Top Team in this fight. Jorge Patino is a legendary veteran who has been fighting since the 90’s. Jorge Gurgel said he used to watch him fight Vale Tudo fights in Brazil on TV.
Round 1 – Inside leg kick by Carneiro. Nice punch by Patino. Carneiro gets the takedown and is in  half guard. Carneiro looks patient and methodical as he attempts to transition from half guard to full mount. Carneiro lands some shots to the head and body to loosen him up. Patino has his legs wrapped around Carneiro’s leg and rolls him over with a sweep. Now Patino is in Carneiro’s half guard. (Carneiro looks to be the taller fighter with the reach advantage) Carneiro attempts an armbar and has it in position. Patino is defending but it looks bad. Referee calls time because Patino kicked Carneiro in the head. Whatever happened, there it worked because it got him out of that armbar that he was about to get submitted! They should have put them back in the same position. That was messed up but no one is complaining. They restart it on the feet and Carneiro gets the takedown as the  bell sounds. PRO MMA scores the round 10-8 for Carneiro due to the illegal head kick (if they took a point – not sure if they did or not – if not then it’s a 10-9 round).
Round 2 – Front kick by Carneiro. Left hook by Carneiro followed by a leg kick from Patino. Flying knee to the head by Carneiro. Patino attempts a trip takedown but Carneiro ends up on top in half guard and has Patino’s neck wrapped up. Patino popping shots from the bottom. For some reason, Carneiro is not relying much on his striking. He throws a couple shots then shoots in and takes Patino down. Carneiro back in half guard with his neck wrapped up again. Same position as before. He loves this position but he’s not doing anything. Patino has Carneiro’s leg trapped. Ten secons left. Patino sweeps him again as the bell sounds. PRO MMA scores the round 10-9 for Roan Carneiro.
Round 3 – Right hand by Carneiro lands flush in Parino’s face and he just eats it. Beautiful shot then Carneiro shoots in gets the takedown lands in half guard again. Gurgel said Carneiro is comfortably riding the victory. Ref stands them up. Big left hook by Carneiro. Patino with no head movement. He rushes in with a one, two. Left jab to the nose of Patino. Patino shoots in and gets stuffed. Carneiro drops Patino down and lands in half guard. Two minutes left in the fight. Ref stands them up again. Huge overhand right from Patino lands on top of Carneiro’s head. Carneiro gets another takedown and lands in half guard again controlling the fight as the bell sounds. Both announcers, Jorge Gurgel and Dorian Price voice their opinion that the main event was lackluster. Carneiro seemed satisfied to coast in to a decision. He clearly had the advantage standing and would not try to capitalize on that for some reason. PRO MMA scores the round 10-9 for Roan Carneiro and scores the fight 30-27 for Roan Carneiro. OFFICIAL RESULT: Roan Carneiro defeats Jorge Patino by unanimous decision (29-28,30-27,30-27). Not the most exciting main event but he got the job done.
