
On Sun., Aug. 2, 2009, the 2009 K-1 Asia Grand Prix took place at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul, Korea.
Singh “Heart” Jaideep from India made it to the K-1 Asia Grand Prix Finals by first knocking out Park Yong Soo in the quarter-finals and then putting a stop to Ko Taisei with devastating leg kicks in the semi-finals.
It was a dominating three round performance over Ken Taiei that won “Heart” Jaideep the unanimous decision victory in the finals, thus becoming the K-1 Asia 2009 tournament champion.
