Aleksander Emelianenko would like to fight in the UFC – PRO MMA exclusive interview

Surrounded by an aura of danger and mystery, Aleksander Emelianenko is one of the scariest men on the planet. The younger brother of consensus number one heavyweight in the world Fedor Emelianenko, Aleks has forged his own path to stardom.

Although still unknown to many of today’s Ultimate Fighter raised MMA fans in the U.S., Aleks has made it clear that will one day change. At only 27 years of age, the Saint-Petersburg born heavyweight plans on fighting for many years to come.

PRO MMA (promma.info) recently put our investigative journalists to work with the end result being a rare opportunity of speaking to the PRIDE and M-1 Challenge veteran as he prepares for his upcoming fight against Sambo champion Blagoi Ivanov. Ivanov, yet to have his first MMA match, defeated Alex’s brother Fedor in Sambo competition late last year.

ММА: Мы посмотрели недавние видео с твоих тренировок с Федором и командой Империал. Ты готовишься к бою или помогаешь членам своей команды.
PRO MMA: We have seen some recent videos of you training with Fedor and Team Imperial. Are you getting ready for a fight yourself or just helping out your teammates?
АЕ: Я помогал Федору готовиться к его бою в августе в Америке. Также использую эти тренировки для подготовки к своему бою в сентябре.
AE: I helped Fedor to prepare for his fight in August in USA. Also I used those trainings to prepare for my own fight in September.

ММА: Очевидно, Барнетт – один из трех бойцов, который заставлял тебя выкладываться по полной на ринге. Что ты думаешь о предстоящем бое Федора с Барнеттом? Какой финал может быть?
PRO MMA: Your brother has a big fight coming up with Josh Barnett. Obviously, Barnett is one of only three men to ever get the best of you. How do you feel about Fedor’s fight with Barnett and how do you see the fight ending?
АЕ: Федор победит Барнетта.
AE: Fedor will win it.

ММА: Давал ли ты советы Федору, как биться с Барнеттом? Если да, то какие?
PRO MMA: Since you yourself fought Barnett, have you been able to give your brother some advice about how to fight him? If so, can you share what strategy you shared with Fedor?
АЕ: Нет, я не давал советов брату. Федор – опытный боец, он сам знает как правильно ставить тактику, как вести бой.
AE: No I didn’t. Fedor is experienced fighter and he knows how to put tactics correctly and how to combat.

ММА: Увидят ли твои фанаты твои бои в США? Почему да или нет?
PRO MMA: Will your fans here in America ever get to see you fight again in the United States? Why or why not?
АЕ: Увидят. Я скоро приеду и всех побью.  Если серьезно, то веду переговоры по своему участию в боях в Америке.
AE: They will. I am coming soon and I will beat everybody.

ММА: Где пройдет твой следующий бой? Кто твой противник. Есть какие–нибудь интересные мысли по этому поводу?
PRO MMA: Where will you fight next and who will be your opponent?
АЕ: Мой следующий бой состоится 29 сентября в Южной Корее. Моим соперником станет Благой Иванов. Он достойный противник. Зрителей ждет настоящее шоу.
AE: My following fight will take place on the 29th of September in South Korea. Blagoi Ivanov will be my contender. He is the worthy opponent. Spectators are waited by a big show.

ММА: Как часто ты тренируешься? По сколько часов?
PRO MMA: How often are you training these days? How many hours?
АЕ: Тренируюсь каждый день по два с половиной часа.
AE: I am training for 2.5 hours every day.

ММА: Чем ты любишь заниматься в свободное время от тренировок и боев?
PRO MMA: What do you like to do when not training or fighting?
АЕ: Люблю проводить время со своей семьей, с дочками.
AE: I love to spend my free time with my family with my daughters

ММА: Сколько ты еще предполагаешь пробыть на арене перед тем, как уйти на заслуженный отдых?
PRO MMA: How many more years do you want to fight before you retire?
АЕ: Еще, как минимум, десять лет я буду всех побеждать!
AE: At least 10 years more I will be beating everybody.

ММА: У тебя была когда-нибудь работа, не связанная с боями? Если да, то какая?
PRO MMA: Have you ever had a job other than fighting? If so, what kind of jobs (occupation) have you had in your life?
АЕ: У меня никогда не было другой работы.
AE: I have never had another job.

ММА: Если бы ты не занимался боями профессионально, то какую профессию выбрал?
PRO MMA: If you were not a professional fighter and could do any other occupation what would it be?
АЕ: Могу сказать одно, что чем бы я ни занимался, я бы добился больших результатов в своем деле.
AE: Let me tell you just one thing, I could achieve the best results in all things I would be engaged in.

ММА: Какой твой любимый американский фильм?
PRO MMA: What is your favorite American movie?
АЕ: Про Мухаммеда Али
AE: Ali movie.

ММА: что ты думаешь про бои без правил среди женщин? Тебе это нравится? Должны ли женщины драться?
PRO MMA: Aleks, what do you think of women’s MMA? Do you like it? Do you think women should fight?
АЕ: Я против этого. Считаю, этот вид спорта не женским.
AE: I am against it. This kind of sport is not for women.

ММА: Ты женат? Дети есть?
PRO MMA: Are you married or have any children?
АЕ: Да, я женат. У меня две дочери. Хочу еще трех сыновей! Я вырос в большой семье. Хочу, чтобы у меня тоже была большая семья.
AE: Yes I am married. I have two daughters. I a going to have three sons. I have grown up in a big family so I want to make a big family as my parents did.

ММА: Тебе хотелось бы выступать в UFC? Что ты думаешь об их тяжеловесах? Например, о Броке Леснаре.
PRO MMA: Aleks, if possible would you like to fight in the UFC? Why or why not and what do you think of their heavyweight fighters and champion Brock Lesnar?
АЕ: Да хотел бы. Мне нравится организациях их боев. Она на очень высоком уровне. А Брока Леснера я точно побью!
AE: Yes I want to. I like their fight organization level, it is very high. There is just one thing about Brock Lesnar, I will beat him.

ММА: Недавно UFC организовало бои в Германии. Если бы они организовали в России, ты бы выступил?
PRO MMA: The UFC recently held an event in Germany. If the UFC came to Russia, would you like to fight for them?
АЕ: Конечно, выступил бы.
AE: Of course I would.

ММА: Что ты думаешь о Дане Уайт?
PRO MMA: What is your opinion of Dana White?
АЕ: Я с ним лично не знаком, поэтому прокомментировать этот вопрос не могу.
AE: I have not met him personally so I could not give any comments about it.
