Gladiator Challenge’s “Gold Rush” took place on Sat., June 13, 2009 at the Wendover Nugget Hotel & Casino in Wendover, Nev.

The Gladiator Challenge Welterweight Title was on the line in the main event as Jake “The Snake” Paul (13-13) defeated Lee Doss (12-9) via TKO in round 2.

In the co-main event, ex-training partner of former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans, “Coach” Chris McLeod of the High Desert Hitmen out of Elko, Nev., handily defeated newcomer Andy Medina with a first round knockout.

Gladiator Challenge’s next event, entitled “Validation,” will take place at the Placer County Fair on June 26. The Gladiator Challenge Heavyweight Title will be on the line as former champion Dave Huckaba (10-3) makes his attempt to regain the title against current champion Rick Randolph (4-2).
