Hector Lombard knocked out Virgil Lazano in round 1 at "Bellator III"

The Bellator Fighting Championship 2009 season consists of twelve weekly events, however, week three combined two events, “Bellator III” and “Bellator IV” because the promotion will be taking next week off.

“Bellator III” will air on ESPN Deportes on April 18th – 9:00PM EST and “Bellator IV” will air on ESPN Deportes on April 25th – 9:00PM EST.

The weekly tournament series will pick back up with “Bellator V” at Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio on May 1st and will air on ESPN Deportes on May 2nd – 9:00PM EST.

On Friday, April 17, “Bellator III & IV” took place at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Oklahoma. Here are the results:

Bellator Fighting Championships’ premiere season consists of 12 two-hour events broadcast weekly in primetime on Saturday nights on ESPN Deportes. The English-language broadcast becomes available on www.Bellator.com each Wednesday. There are four simultaneous tournaments taking place in season one over a three month period: one in each of the Featherweight, Lightweight, Welterweight, and Middleweight divisions.
