Intimidation Cage Fighting presents ICF: BREAKOUT on April 11, 2009 at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. The good news for you is PRO MMA (promma.info), in association with Go Fight Live, will be hosting a live web cast of the event so you can watch all the action right in the comfort of your home.
In the main event, UFC veteran, Forrest Petz (14-6), will be taking on undefeated Victor O’Donnell (7-0). Petz has notable wins over Luigi Fioravanti, Sam Morgan, and “Krazy Horse” Bennett to name a few. Petz is looking to get back on the winning track after losing his last fight to T.J. Grant at TKO 35 last October.
In the co-main event, The Ultimate Fighter season two competitor, Dan “The Sandman” Christison (13-6) will take on the very game, Marcio “Pe de Pano” Cruz (4-2), in a heavyweight showdown. This should be a very entertaining bout when considering Cruz and Christison’s style match up. They are both big athletic guys with Christison having the edge standing and Cruz with the edge on the ground.
Cruz is a Marcos Ruas trained jiu jitsu expert who made his pro debut at UFC 55 with a win over Keigo Kunihara. He returned four months later in February 2006 to defeat former UFC Heavyweight Champion and current UFC interim Heavyweight Champion, Frank Mir. His most recent victory was over Mu Bae Choi at Sengoku 3 last year. His only two losses have come from Jeff Monson and Andrei Arlovski.
“Pe de Pano’s” opponent, Dan Christison, is on a five fight win streak and has been much more active. Cruz has fought only once a year for the past two years, whereas Christison has fought seven times. Christison has notable wins over Brad Imes and Ben Rothwell. “The Sandman” has also been in the cage with Frank Mir. He lost a unanimous decision to the interim champ at UFC 61.
