The weigh-ins for UFC 94 took place this afternoon at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. All fighters made weight on the first try and many of them took full advantage of the one pound extra that is allowed in Nevada’s non-title bouts. B.J. Penn came in two pounds under at 168 and GSP was right on the money at 170. Akihiro Gono sported an enormous “Afro-Samurai-style” wig and that was most likely the cause for his extra pound. Some people have been nervous Karo Parisyan may not be able to fight but he made it through the weigh-ins and looked fine, so so far so good.
