The WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting) returns to the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV on Wednesday December 3, 2008.
The card is headlined by a WEC Bantamweight Championship Title Fight between undisputed king, Miguel Torres and Manny Tapia. The fact that Torres is the Bantamweight king of the world is non-negotiable.
The Chicago native has lost only one fight in his nearly nine year professional career and that loss was five years ago and it came by decision. It took 18 fights before anyone could take Torres past the second round. In Torres’ thirty-four wins, he has only been to a decision five times; he has 20 submission wins and 7 wins by (T)KO.
The undefeated 10-0-1 King of the Cage veteran, Manny Tapia will be looking to take home Torres’ Bantamweight crown on Wednesday night. Few people are giving Tapia a chance and BetUS.com has the odds at -700 Torres and +400 Tapia.
