War Machine: “Looks like I’ll be doing a year in San Diego County jail”

It looks like former UFC fighter and Ultimate Fighter contestant War Machine could do hard time following a barroom brawl incident that took place back in March. Unfortunately for War Machine the whole thing was caught on video and now you can see it too!

War Machine post UWC 6 comments

Since being ostracized by both the UFC and Bellator, War Machine has hit the local circuit. This past weekend he made his UWC debut at their “Capital Punishment” card. He had a little more trouble than expected with Reshad Woods, but in the end was able to finish the fight in the second round. The always outspoken, War Machine, talked to reporters after his fight. PRO MMA (promma.info) staff writer Richard Mann was there.

During the fight War Machine continually pressed forward trying to take Woods to the ground. Apparently, this was his strategy going into the fight. Machine told reporters, “I knew he was a kick boxer, and he he’s got a long reach on me. So, you know, I just wanted to get it on the ground. That’s where I’m stronger than him.”

War Machine arrested at gay club in Las Vegas

The fighter formerly known as Jon Koppenhaver, now legally known as War Machine (6-2), has been arrested in Las Vegas, NV. Was he trying to carry out the presidential assassination he recently endorsed on Myspace? Did the SWAT team have to be called in to handle this violent free-speech patriot? No, rather he was put under citizen’s arrest on charges of misdemeanor battery according to initial reports.

Jay Rivera, a representative with the Public Information Office of the Metro Police Department, confirmed that Jonathan Paul Koppenhaver was arrested Saturday, February 8 at approximately 4 a.m. local time. According to Rivera, a citizen’s arrest was made of Koppenhaver on charges of misdemeanor battery.

It was later found out and reported by TMZ that the incident went down at Krave Nightclub, which is locally known as a ‘gay bar.’ Police told TMZ that club security was escorting War Machine out of the club when he alledgedly turned and started punching them. Krave security then put him under citizen’s arrest untill police could arrive.
