Overeem doesn’t believe Ngannou’s power punching hype, doesn’t care about Lesnar

We got a look at Alistair Overeem’s focus ahead of his co-main event bout with Francis Ngannou. He said he feels Francis Ngannou deserves the shot at him and that he was never as hyped as he was despite his skill sets. He answered quite a few questions and was truly a class act even after a violent striking session at the open workouts. He also said ‘who cares about Brock Lesnar’…ouch. Check it out.

Wednesday we got a look at MMA monster Francis Ngannou’s UFC 218 open workout. He is fast and ferocious with bad intentions in everything he throws, and his hype train is moving so fast with so many passengers on board that should it crash it may kill everyone. Eddie Alvarez says winner of fight with Gaethje will be ‘most violent man’

Former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez appeared on The MMA Hour in advance of his bout with Justin Gaethje at UFC 218. Alvarez is a top tier fighter and Justin isn’t a slouch by any means. The winner of this fight may be in the title picture but right now the lightweight championship is being held hostage by Conor McGregor. Dana may strip Conor of the title if he doesn’t announce his intentions to return soon so who knows if this could be an interim title bout or not. Check out what Eddie said to Ariel Helwani.

Dana White full TUF 26 and UFC 218 scrum, Punk return?

Dana White took to the mic again ahead of the TUF 26 finale and UFC 218. One of the things of note that reportedly came out of White’s mouth was that he was meeting with CM Punk real name Phil Brooks at the UFC 218 event. No telling if he will do the smart thing and tell him to go get experience or he will simply give him potential dates for another fight. Punk lost his first bout badly to rising star Mickey Gall and not too many people have expressed enough interest in seeing him return without more fights under his belt. Punk was never an amateur and his first fight ever was in the UFC… Check out the full video.
