Martin Stapleton, Rob Sinclair, Paul Sass join Bellator MMA roster

After a scouting expedition that took Bellator Talent Development Director and former MMA fighter Zach Light throughout the United Kingdom, Bellator has added three English standouts to the roster as Martin Stapleton, Rob Sinclair and Paul Sass have all signed long-term promotional agreements with Bellator MMA.

Jon Fitch and others released from UFC contracts

We reported last night that Jacob Volkmann announced that he had been released from his UFC contract after his loss to Bobby Green at UFC 156. Well, it looks like the UFC has released 16 more fighters, including former number one welterweight contender Jon Fitch.

The UFC on FUEL TV 7: Barao vs. McDonald full card

The next UFC event will take place on February 16 at the Wembley Arena in London, England. The event will air on FUEL TV with a 3 p.m. ET start time, and preliminary fights will begin on Facebook at 12 p.m. ET. The event will be headlined by the UFC interim bantamweight title fight between champion Renan Barao and challenger Michael McDonald. The co-main event will feature a pair of ranked featherweights when Cub Swanson takes on Dustin Poirier.

The UFC returns to the U.K. on Sept. 29th at Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena

This past weekend it was announced that the UFC will be returning to the U.K. on September 29th. No official broadcasting plans have been made yet but various rumours suggest that it may be a UFC on Fuel TV event.

The event will take place at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England. If the show is on Fuel TV it will air live internationally, this is a welcome benefit linked to the Fox deal which was made earlier this year. In the past shows held within the U.K. Have aired via tape delay in the U.S. But this would no longer be the case allowing fans to tune into the action as it happens.
