UFC president Dana White recently gave his thoughts on the possibility of British welterweight fighter Paul Daley returning to the UFC. “Semtex” is currently riding a four fight winning streak and was recently released from his contract with Bellator, so it will be interesting to see if the UFC are prepared to forget Daley’s troublesome past and give him a second chance in the Octagon.
Paul “Semtex” Daley, who was slated to be one of Bellator’s most prized free agent acquisitions, found himself unable to compete in the promotion’s welterweight tournament due to visa complications stemming from a barroom brawl in his native England. However, the 29 year old heavy hitter has none the less remained active; Daley is set to headline Cage Contender’s February 23rd MMA card in Dublin, Ireland before making the transition back to the kickboxing ring on March 23rd.
Bellator Fighting Championships is returning to Casino Rama on November 2 for Bellator 79 LIVE on MTV2, The Score in Canada and in commercial free HD on EPIX beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
