Andrei Arlovski to face Mike Kyle in WSOF 5 main event

The man who was victorious in the featured bout of World Series of Fighting's very first event will return once again to headline for the promotion. Andrei "The Pit Bull" Arlovski (20-10) will compete in the main event of next month's World Series of Fighting 5 against slugger Mike "MAK" Kyle (20-9-1) in a heavyweight bout on Saturday, Sept. 14 at New Jersey's Revel Casino Hotel in Atlantic City. The UFC is set to make their debut on their new home on Saturday, August 17, which is the brand new launch of the FOX Sports 1 channel. The event will be headlined by the light heavyweight bout between former UFC light heavyweight champ Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and former two-time middleweight title challenger Chael Sonnen. The co-main event will feature a heavyweight bout between Alistair Overeem and Travis Browne. The event will take place at the TD Garden Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, with three preliminary fights airing on Facebook beginning at 4 p.m. ET. Junior Assuncao signs deal with XFC

In 2010, Assuncao, a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Black Rope in Capoeira, defeated John Mahlow to capture the XFC Lightweight Championship. Before being able to defend his new title, Assuncao was offered the opportunity to return to the UFC, so with the blessing of XFC President John Prisco, Junior was let out of his contract and he respectfully vacated his belt.
