Mike ‘Joker’ Guymon: Bellator 85 scrum

Longtime MMA veteran Mike “Joker” Guymon takes on the man they call “Black Superman”, Savant Young, Thursday at Bellator 85.

Guymon spoke to ProMMAnow.com and a few other media outlets Tuesday about the challenge of dropping to lightweight, returning to the cage after a brief “retirement” and how he feels he matches up with Young.

Guymon explained why he chose to come out of retirement and why he thinks some problems with his medications may have affected his performance while in the UFC. Guymon also shared his thoughts on the evolution of MMA and why fighting for Bellator is a great fit for him at this time.

Open workouts for Bellator 85 to be held Tuesday, January 15

In preparation of their debut card on Spike TV, Bellator Fighting Championships will hold an open workout day for media and fans Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 1-3 p.m. PST at HB Ultimate Training Center in Huntington Beach, Calif.
