First let me say it is nice to be back. We are currently in the middle of week five right now and I am feeling great. Much, much better than week three, that is for sure. Week three started with extreme pain and ended with french fries and an after party! I know, I know not a recipe for success. Let me explain.

As everyone knows by now, I have a few bulging discs in my back along with some facet bones issues. As such, the hard work that I put into weeks one and two caught up to me.

To say I went into physical shock would sum it up nicely. My back flared up severely in the week leading up to the Strikeforce Challengers event in Fresno, Calif. As my trainers Dave and Anthony informed me, it is very important to listen to my body and act accordingly. MMA’S Biggest Loser – Fast Eddie’s week 2 recap

Class is in session for Fast Eddie at the Guerilla Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Pleasanton, Calif.

Well, week two is now in the books. What a week it was. My training increased this week, from two to three days. Monday started off normally with two Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu classes. This was the first time in years that I have had the opportunity to roll and train with higher belts. Insert Roscoe Roatch.

Roscoe is a purple belt under Dave Camarillo and will run the classes when Dave is not around. Training with Roscoe was great for several reasons. First and foremost, his care and concern for my physical limitations with my back was so appreciated.

He did not set out to hurt me but to help me get reacquainted with the details of my technique that have built up a considerable amount of rust. However, after the two classes the rust started falling off quickly and I felt myself getting back on the bike.

MMA’s Biggest Loser is under way featuring ProMMA.info’s “Fast” Eddie Constantine and MMA Junkie’s John Morgan going toe-to-toe belly-to-belly in a weight loss competition.

Well, week one of training has come to a close and what a week it was. Before I get into how training went and how sore I am, let’s start with how this competition came to be.

As most of you know, I am an avid MMA Junkie Radio fan. While listening to John Morgan on a recent episode talking about his desire to lose weight, the idea dawned on me.
