This is an interesting video interview with film legend Sylvester Stallone talking about when he was in Brazil filming “The Expendables” and they needed to cast some soldiers. Frank Mir: in-depth interview (video)

Here’s a very in-depth interview with Frank Mir and his trainer Ken Hahn. In spite of the somewhat uneducated interviewer (calls the UFC the Ultimate Fighting Challenge) they do cover quite a few topics and Frank talks about why he thinks he can beat Big Nog. There are three parts.

The Ultimate Fighter 8 – episode 5 re-cap

by: Denny “The Mad One” Hodge

The episode begins with a re-cap from last week with Efrain’s win, and Junie blowing up after the fight.

Coach Mir talks about the fact that Coach Nogueira was basically forced to restrain Junie after the emotional fighter jumped the fence, screaming to Efrain about laying on Shane Nelson the whole fight.

UFC President Dana White once again points to Junie having “9 lives”, and that he dodged another bullet with the absence of NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer. Dana said that had he been present, Junie may have lost his license to fight and likely would have been kicked off the show.

The title of the show on my Direct TV schedule was “From Chill to Kill”, which is a quote from Junie saying that he can “go to chill to kill real fast.” It’s going to be interesting to see how much of the talk this guy can back up. Coach Nog believes that Junie’s big talk can be attributed to him being scared and insecure, and that “he’ll be the next one to tap”.

“The Ultimate Fighter: Team Nogueira vs. Team Mir”- Episode 4 Re-Cap

By Denny “The Mad One” Hodge

Tonight it’s the Lightweights that take center stage, and not just as it relates to the fight for this week. The show starts with the guys watching UFC 84: Ill Will, with BJ Penn vs. Sean Sherk. It’s not long during the viewing before the “Junie and Shane Nelson Show” overshadows the pay per view event. The fun starts with a bottle of wine then quickly escalates to shots of Tequila. Junie starts antagonizing anybody from the Red team, by talking smack and throwing peanuts at anyone within throwing range.

Soon after, Junie is moving to the light heavyweights and starts talking smack to Kyle Kingsbery. Kyle throws peanuts back at Junie in retaliation, and Junie follows up with a nice drink to Kyle’s face followed by the glass itself. The glass breaks and cuts Kyle on his arm and we are off to the races.
