Former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir will make his Strikeforce debut against Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix winner Daniel Cormier on November 3rd in Oklahoma City. The news was annouced via press release by Strikeforce officials.

Report: Frank Mir to face Daniel Cormier in Strikeforce

It is being reported that former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir (16-6) will face Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix champion Daniel Cormier (10-0) in Strikeforce. Cormier has one fight left with Strikeforce, and Mir will crossover to the Zuffa-owned promotion to face him in a bout expected to take place Sept. 29 in Sacramento, Calif., in the co-main event of “Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Healy” which will air live on Showtime.

UFC 146 medical suspensions: Cain Velasquez could be out for six months

The UFC 146 medical suspensions have been handed down by the Nevada State Athletic Commission and a couple of fighters could be out for a while if not officially cleared by a doctor beforehand. ProMMAnow (www.prommanow.com) was informed that Cain Velasquez, Antonio Silva, Jason Miller, C.B. Dollaway, Jamie Varner, and Jacob Volkmann could all be out of action for up to six months.
