We reported earlier this week that top five lightweight Gilbert Melendez had agreed in principle to sign with Bellator MMA after negotiations with the UFC fell through. Former UFC middleweight Chris "The Crippler" Leben retired early this year after spending nearly a decade fighting inside the Octagon. The Ultimate Fighter season one contestant went on to put together a 12-10 run in the UFC winning six fight night bonuses in the process.
