The INFO is the official podcast of PRO MMA (promma.info). A new episode of The INFO is taped each Sunday and released on Monday. The INFO is led by Programming Director and host Matt De La Rosa along with co-host and PRO MMA’s Manager of Fighter Relations, “Fast” Eddie Constantine.
The Info episode 36 – New co-host Dave Camarillo & Luke Rockhold – Matt De La Rosa and ‘Fast Eddie’ Constantine welcomed their new co-host Dave Camarillo to the team on this week’s edition of THE INFO. Dave’s first show was a hit as the guys discussed Cain Velasquez and MMA’s Biggest Loser competition. Strikeforce Middleweight Luke Rockhold climbed up in the Guerrilla Jiu Jitsu rafters to talk about his upcoming bout with Jesse Taylor, Jiu Jitsu tournaments and Machida versus Shogun. Matt and Dave also went off on quite the Video Game/Zombie film tangent for the ages.
CageDivas episode 4 - The CageDivas arrived with two stellar interviews to kick off the month of October. CageDiva’s Kim Kasper, Laura McKinney and Miesha Tate talked to one of the most recognized and renowned photographers in MMA; Esther Lin. Erin Toughill is one of the pioneers of Women’s MMA and spoke candidly about the current state of the sport, her first fight ever, pro boxing, American Gladiators, and her fight against Marloes Coenen on Nov. 7 in Strikeforce
The Info episode 35 - UFC veteran Alberto Crane and TUF 10 fighter Justin Wren THE INFO. Alberto gave his take on whether or not Jiu Jitsu could become an Olympic sport, training in Brazil and Southern California, his upcoming fight with Wander Braga, as well as Gabe Ruediger’s philosophy on alternative ‘weight cutting’ methods. PROMMA.INFO’s resident blogger Justin Wren talked about his win over Wes Sims, his thoughts on people telling him to drop to 205 and his belief that wrestlers never need to be in guard
The Info episode 34 – Scott Lighty and Ryan “Darth” Bader stopped by to shoot the breeze. Lighty discussed his kick boxing career, The Pit, taking a year off in 2007, K-1 and the level of striking in MMA. Bader will square off against Eric Schafer at UFC 104 and talked about that match, ASU wrestling’s upcoming season, Cain Velasquez, his unique experience in Oklahoma and tells the guys the one question he hates answering. Matt and “Fast Eddie” also talked about MMA’s “Biggest Loser”.
The Info episode 33 – Matt De La Rosa and “Fast Eddie” Constantine spoke to Caraway about his victory this past Saturday night, training with Urijah Faber and the WEC. Tate scored her first ever KO victory and broke down the bout for the guys, she also touched on CageDivas and her future move to San Jose and American Kickboxing Academy. Banuelos took on Scott Jorgensen back in June at WEC 41 and discussed that stellar bout, his upcoming November fight, Charles “Mask” Lewis and Dancing with the Stars.
The Info episode 32 – PRO MMA’s (promma.info) Matt De La Rosa and “Fast Eddie” Constantine spent their Sunday afternoon chatting it up with Cung Le, Noah Thomas and Mike Afromowitz on this edition of THE INFO. Le hit on a bevy of topics including “Rampage” Jackson, giving up the Strikeforce 185 belt, his upcoming film projects and if he had any interest in portraying Bruce Lee’s iconic role of Kato in the upcoming Green Hornet film.
CageDivas episode 3 - The CageDivas hit the PRO MMA (promma.info) radio network air waves talking Tussle Fight Gear and going in-depth with Projekt Label fighter Sarah Maloy. The ladies also discussed Gina Carano’s decision to venture into the movie industry and Miesha’s upcoming bout in CageSport MMA in her home town of Tacoma, Wash., on October third at the Emerald Queen Casino. The “Talking Threads” segment spotlighted Tussle Fight Gear and MMA newcomer Sarah Maloy talked about balancing family life with fighting and her unorthodox road to professional fighting.
The Info episode 31 - (9/22/09) THE INFO brings you a special Abu Dhabi Combat Club 2009 preview show. It was a Ralph Gracie reunion of sorts as “Fast Eddie” Constantine was joined by On The Mat founder, Heroes Jiu Jitsu owner and Ralph Gracie black belt “Gumby” as well as AKA grappling coach and Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu guru, Dave Camarillo. These grappling experts joined Eddie and broke down all of the weight classes (male and female) along with the Jacare versus Drysdale super fight.
The INFO episode 30 – (9-16-09) THE INFO returned with another show stacked with guests, featuring Bruce “The Noose” Connors, Lyle “Fancy Pants” Beerbohm, and Frank “Twinkle Toes” Trigg. Trigg talked about his return to the UFC and Connors talked about being a Marine Sniper.
CageDivas episode 2 – (9-15-09) The CageDivas have arrived this week at PRO MMA (promma.info) with a stellar line up featuring Muay-Thai and soon to be MMA fighter Keri Anne Taylor and MMA Heat founder Karyn Bryant. Hostess’s Kim Kasper, Laura McKinney and Miesha Tate asked Taylor about her venture into the world of martial arts, preparing for her upcoming Thai fight, making the move over to MMA and training with boyfriend Gilbert Melendez. Bryant, the founder of MMA Heat, discussed Bob Arum’s comments on MMA and its fans, how MMA Heat came about, the future of Women’s MMA and the challenges she encounters covering the sport. The ladies focused on Bombshell Boutique in this weeks “Talking Threads” segment and give you a sneak peek into the next episode.
THE INFO episode 29 – (9-9-09) TUF 10 participant Justin Wren and Strikeforce fighter Jake Shields joined Matt De La Rosa and “Fast Eddie” Constantine on this weeks edition of THE INFO. Wren, who will be blogging for PRO MMA (promma.info) throughout the TUF 10 season, talked about his journey to The Ultimate Fighter house.
The INFO episode 28 – (9-1-09) Matt De La Rosa and “Fast Eddie” Constantine spoke with Hieron about his Strikeforce debut, Nick Diaz, Jay’s future title shot, Randy Couture and being the “Best Dressed Man” in Xtreme Couture. King Mo stopped by to talk about his win over Mark Kerr.
CageDivas episode 1 – (8-27-09) PROMMA.INFO is proud to bring you the first ever female MMA radio show: CageDivas. Hosted by Kim Kasper, Laura McKinney and Strikeforce veteran Miesha Tate, CageDivas is a radio show for fans, wives, mothers and women fighters to discuss the lifestyle, culture and opinions of the MMA world. On the debut episode the ladies talk about the historic Carano vs. Cyborg bout, Projekt Label clothing, Miesha’s upcoming bout and what drove the trio to the sport of mixed martial arts. This groundbreaking podcast is one of a kind and can only be heard at PRO MMA (promma.info).
THE INFO episode 27 – (8-23-09) Matt De La Rosa and “Fast” Eddie Constantine talked all things Strikeforce on this edition of THE INFO. “Fast” Eddie took in all the events from the ground breaking Carano vs. Cyborg headliner last week and filled the fans in with a few things you may not have seen or heard about.
THE INFO episode 26 – (7-27-09) After going on nearly a one month hiatus, Matt De La Rosa and “Fast” Eddie Constantine returned for an hour and a half long edition of THE INFO. MMA Junkie Radio’s Gorgeous George was the guest and he talked about the inception of TAGG Radio and its transition to becoming MMA Junkie Radio.
AKA insight with Bob Cook and Luke Rockhold – (07/01/09) – The famed American Kickboxing Academy made its presence felt on this special in studio edition of THE INFO when “Crazy” Bob Cook and Luke Rockhold (5-1) stopped by the show. Matt De La Rosa and “Fast” Eddie Constantine talked with the guys about all things MMA, AKA, Strikeforce, UFC, Santa Cruz and business. Cook filled the guys in on the best up and coming AKA prospects that fans may not know about, the old AKA try out process, Cain Velasquez, Lyoto Machida, the relevance of UFC 100 and the future of MMA. Rockhold broke down his win over Cory Devela, living in one of California’s most famous beach towns, sponsors, his teammates and where he thinks the sport will be when he hangs up the gloves.
THE INFO episode 25 – (6-23-09) On the twenty fifth episode of THE INFO Brian Caraway returned to the show to discuss his recent victory over Alex Zuniga at Strikeforce Challenger Series 2. Projekt Label’s Chris Leo talked about what the immediate future holds for the clothing line.
The El Nino Hour – (6-19-09) Gilbert Melendez sat down with Matt De La Rosa and “Fast” Eddie Constantine in a special episode of THE INFO dubbed: The El Nino Hour. Melendez talked about the atmosphere of his new gym, his relationship with his father, what he has experienced in his new teacher/student role and more.
THE INFO episode 24 – (6-16-09) Brian Caraway and King Mo were guests. Caraway talked about his upcoming Featherweight match up, sitting out for eight months due to contract issues, Dennis Hallman, and fighting in his own backyard. King Mo had us cracking up the whole time and discussed a bevy of topics.
THE INFO episode 23 – (6-10-09) THE INFO stormed the PRO MMA (promma.info) radio network this week with guests Mike Afromowitz and 135 pounder Chad “Savage” George. Matt De La Rosa and “Fast” Eddie Constantine talked to the Strikeforce Director of Communications about Gina Carrano and Cris Santos locking up in August.
THE INFO episode 22 – (6-4-09) THE INFO returned to the PRO MMA (promma.info) airwaves with another episode this week with guests Jake Shields (22-4-1) and Ky Hollenbeck (4-0). Matt De La Rosa and “Fast” Eddie Constantine were joined by Fight! Magazine’s Danny Acosta.
Going Guerrilla – For the first time ever PRO MMA’s (promma.info) Matt De La Rosa and “Fast” Eddie Constantine welcomed a guest into THE INFO studio and none other than famed American Kickboxing Academy coach Dave Camarillo stopped by to chat. Fight! Magazine’s Danny Acosta also joined in on the discussion as Camarillo discussed dozens of topics.
THE INFO episode 21 – (5-26-09) THE INFO returned to the air waves this week with guest Chris Tessaro. The co-host of “The Hardcore Poker Show” enlightened Matt De La Rosa and “Fast” Eddie Constantine on the infamous Ultimate Bet cheating scandal, Full Tilt poker and the two companies’ relationships with the UFC.
THE INFO episode 20 – (5-22-09) Miesha Tate stopped by to talk about her recent loss to Sarah Kaufman at the inaugural “Strikeforce Challengers” event. The guys also discussed Dana White’s appearance on ESPN’s E:60 and the mainstream media’s view of MMA.
THE INFO episode 19 – (5-5-09) “The Underdog” Casey Olson stopped by to talk about his upcoming fight with Palace Fighting Championship’s “PFC 13″. The guys touched on Kim Couture withdrawing from her May 15th fight, Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton’s bout, and a recent Forrest Griffin’s interview.
THE INFO episode 18 – (4-28-09) Scott Smith talks about his upcoming bout with Nick Diaz in Strikeforce. Kurt Osiander and Raul Castillo are guests as well. PRO MMA’s interview with War Machine is also discussed.
THE INFO episode 17 – (4-23-09) The boys were joined by Strikeforce Middleweight Eric Lawson and last minute guest, Sherdog.com and Fight! Magazine’s Danny Acosta.
THE INFO episode 16 – (3-24-09) The INFO had three guests this week including the winner of the Team Shamrock try-outs and Strikeforce contract winner Victor Cheng, DREAM fighter Darren Uyenoyama, and UFC fighter Tim McKenzie.
THE INFO episode 15 – (3-19-09) Strikeforce Middleweight Eric Lawson stopped by this week. The life and tragic death of Charles “Mask” Lewis of Tapout is also discussed.
THE INFO episode 14 – (3-10-09) The PRO MMA staff discussed UFC 96, DREAM, the UFC Heavyweight Division, Yves Lavgine, WAMMA’s official women’s rankings, and a recent Gladiator Challenge show.
THE INFO episode 13 – (3-3-09) Gilbert Melendez talks about his rematch with Josh Thomson, his new gym, Strikeforce and Cage Combat. The guys talked about Denny’s interview with Anthony Johnson, Gladiator Challenge and the 155 pound division.
THE INFO episode 12 – (2-25-09) The INFO guests this week were Ryan Bastianelli and Miesha Tate. Matt De La Rosa, Editor In Chief Jack Bratcher and Staff Writer Richard Mann discussed Thomson vs Melendez II, UWC-Man ‘O’ War, GFC 2, M-1 Global and CCFC-10.
THE INFO episode 11 – (2-10-09) Strikeforce Director of Communications Mike Afromowitz and 145 pounder Brian Caraway were both guests. Matt and Eddie talked about Strikeforce’s acquisition of select PRO Elite assets, former Affliction CEO Todd Beard, KIMO Leopoldo and more.
THE INFO episode 10 – (2-3-09) The INFO’s guest this week was Miesha Tate, who talked about her victory over Jessica Bednarek, among other things. Matt De La Rosa and Denny “The Mad One” Hodge were joined by PRO MMA staff writer Richard Mann. The guys discussed Vaselinegate and their picks for UFC 94.
THE INFO episode 9 – (1-27-09) The guys went over a big weekend of MMA. The WEC, Affliction, as well as an interview with UFC Middleweight, Tim McKenzie, highlighted this week’s show. “The Mad One” and “Fast Eddie” covered WEC 38 and Matt talked about his week in Anaheim, CA spent covering “Day of Reckoning.”
THE INFO episode 8 – (1-13-09) This episode of the INFO is a special two-part feature. In the first segment, the guys discuss Arlovski vs Fedor as well as Freddy Roach, Roger Huerta, and some NFL playoff banter. In the second segment, Richard Mann joins the guys to discuss the betting lines for UFC 93’s main card.
THE INFO episode 7 – (1-10-09) Matt De La Rosa talked about his interview with Roger Huerta, as well as the Affliction 2: Day of Reckoning conference call. The guys of PRO MMA also discussed Mirko Cro Cop, Shinya Aoki and a potential match up between Quinton Jackson and UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Rashad Evans.
THE INFO episode 6 – (12-30-08) PRO MMA Staff Writer Jeff Howard joined the guys again to discuss UFC 92 and K-1 Dynamite. The guys also talked about the future of new 205 pound champion, Rashad Evans, Interim Heavyweight champ Frank Mir, and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
THE INFO episode 5 – (12-23-08) The guys were joined by PRO MMA Staff Writer Jeff Howard to discuss the Affliction conference call as well as breaking down and giving their picks for UFC 92. They also talked about Satoshi Ishii and all things MMA.
THE INFO episode 4 – (12-16-08) PRO MMA Editor in Chief, Jack Bratcher, joined the boys of the INFO to discuss his interview of Jorge Gurgel as well as talking about their thoughts on Corey Hill, Chael Sonnen, Thiago Alves rumors and one nasty leg injury.
THE INFO episode 3 – (12-9-08) Strikeforce and DREAM veteran Darren Uyenoyama joined the guys to discuss his return after a five year layoff from MMA. The boys also discussed the K-1 and Kimbo Slice story, the De La Hoya vs Pacquiao fight, Anderson Silva’s time at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card gym as well as Antonio Silva and Pro Elite.
THE INFO episode 2 – (12-2-08) Editor, Jack Bratcher joins Matt and “Fast Eddie” to give the fans the run down on all the major news stories from this past Thanksgiving weekend. Jorge Gurgel, Sokoudjou, UFC 91 buy rates, Strikeforce and Frank Trigg were some of the hot topics discussed on the first “Insight with the Editor” segment.
THE INFO episode 1 – (11-25-08) The INFO’s inaugural show! The guys talk about the past weekend’s Strikeforce: Destruction card, Cung Le, Randy Couture vs. Chuck Liddell 4 possibilities, the UFC Heavyweight division, and wrap things up discussing “The Ultimate Fighter 8″ semi-final match ups.
