Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson has signed with promoter Gary Shaw in order to start a boxing career. Rumors have circulated for weeks about Ferguson in boxing, and now ESPN.com has confirmed the signing.
Thankfully, Gary Shaw has not made an announcement of his return to MMA. Instead, he plans to take his former pet project, Kimbo Slice, and bring him into the boxing world. Shaw says stay tuned the announcement.
Since acquiring EliteXC’s assets, including a CBS television deal, and signing heavyweight legend Fedor Emelianenko, Strikeforce has certainly tried to up the promotional ante.
