Miguel Torres had a fight with Joseph Benavidez at WEC 47 this past weekend. It was one hell of a battle. Unfortunately for the former bantamweight champion, he was submitted via guillotine choke in the second round. He also walked away with this beauty.

Cro Cop gets stitches – still plans to fight
Now just one day prior to UFC 110, Croatian website MMAAxion.com is reporting that Mirko Cro Cop received a cut over his eye while sparring and had to get stitches. Cro Cop apparently refuses to pull out of the fight citing he does not want weeks of preparation to go to waste.

Add Rolles Gracie, Phillipe Nover to list of fighters released following UFC 109
Since our initial “Firing Line” report on Wednesday that the UFC had cut UFC 109 participants Mark Coleman, Frank Trigg, and Tim Hague, we have learned two more fighters from that same card have also been cut: Phillipe Nover (5-3-1), and Rolles Gracie(3-1).

Martin Kampmann off UFC 111 card – he got a boo boo, and a photo to prove it
Martin Kampmann was scheduled to fight Ben Saunders at UFC 111 in Newark, N.J. on March 27. Apparently, he can no longer fight because he got a little scratch on his head. I thought these guys were tough… come on Martin!

Houston Alexander says he has not been cut from the UFC
Despite his recent loss to Kimbo Slice at the TUF 10 Finale, and Dana White’s insistence that Houston Alexander (9-5) would be cut from the UFC roster, the father of six claims he nor his manager, Monte Cox, have received notice of his release, and “…until that happens, I’m not released,” says Alexander.
