Breaking: Frankie Edgar to face Jose Aldo for title at UFC 153, Koch injured

We reported a couple of weeks ago that former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar would be moving down to the featherweight division with plans of fighting before the end of the year. Well, those plans have changed as he will now face Jose Aldo for the UFC featherweight title at UFC 153 on October 13th. Chris Weidman snubs Belcher, wants title shot or winner of Bisping vs. Stann next

It was revealed on Tuesday night's edition of "Inside the Octagon" that Chris Weidman either wants a title shot next, or the opportunity to fight the winner of the Michael Bisping vs. Brian Stann fight at UFC 152. According to Ariel Helwani, Weidman views a matchup between himself and the winner of the Bisping/Stann fight as a number one contenders fight with the winner fighting Anderson Silva in early 2013. Since UFC 151 was canceled, it'll be 26 days until the next UFC event which should be a much needed break for fighters to get healed up and for the promotion to finish the final quarter of the year strong. The UFC 152 event will feature two title fights now that Jon Jones vs. Vitor Belfort has been moved into the main event slot.
