Tuff-N-Uff Future Stars of MMA: USA vs. Canada

Las Vegas, Nevada (August 26, 2009) – One week after a sold out show featuring Ryan Couture, the son of legendary fighter Randy Couture, Tuff N Uff Productions is proud to present USA vs Canada at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 28th, the day before UFC 102.

The evening’s matches will feature seven rising fighters from north of the border matched up against fighters from the best gyms in the U.S.

Representing team Canada will be Jesse Gross, George Abdallah, Derek Freeman, Bryan Fedynyszyn , Forrest Cable and female fighter Bobbi-Jo Dalziel.

Ryan Couture proves tough enough in Tuff-N-Uff main event on Aug. 22 – full results

As former UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion Randy Couture gets ready to step back into the Octagon this weekend at UFC 102 against “Minotauro” Nogueira, another Couture, Randy’s son Ryan, just won the main event at Tuff-N-Uff’s “Future Stars of MMA” this past Saturday night at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.

Young Couture was knocked to the ground early in the bout by his opponent Jimmy Spicuzza. Spicuzza pounced on the downed Couture in an effort to finish him off quickly with ground and pound. However, Couture withstood the attack, and once Spicuzza’s flurry ended, Ryan sunk in an arm bar causing Spicuzza to tap out just 1:22 into the first round.
