CWFC Fight Night 8: Weigh-in results

Weigh-ins took place in Al Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, today for CWFC Fight Night 8, which takes place tomorrow at the Mirbeh Sports Hall. Cage Warriors and Quest FC both held Mixed Martial Arts events under the governance of Safe MMA, last Saturday 4th May. All competing professional MMA fighters were medically cleared to participate by Safe MMA. Connecticut close to legalizing MMA bill

Lorenzo Fertitta, The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Chairman & CEO, applauded the Connecticut General Assembly’s House of Representatives for passing HB-5277 today by an overwhelming 117-26 vote. The bill would legalize mixed martial arts (MMA) and add Connecticut to the list of 48 states where MMA is currently legal. Jose Aguiniga was forced to withdraw from his fight tomorrow night against Francisco Vargas at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas after he was rushed to the hospital this afternoon after collapsing in the gym apparently suffering from severe dehydration. The previously scheduled eight-round welterweight clash between Antonio Orozco and Jose Reynoso has been increased to a ten-round fight and moved up to the main event slot of tomorrow’s card which will be televised by FOX Sports Networks and FOX Deportes.
