Daniel Cormier was on the receiving end of a highlight reel knockout by Jon Jones at UFC 214. Jones recaptured the light heavyweight title and Daniel has to live with the fact that he was leading Jones two rounds to nothing on most score cards, and if he had finished the fight he would have beaten the near consensus GOAT. Alas, it was not to be like when Chael Sonnen almost beat Jon Jones. Granted Sonnen was going to win by Jones having that gruesome foot injury, but it would have been a win nonetheless. In the footage below you can see Cormier on weakened legs, looking confused and even attempting to go across the Octagon and engage him like the fight was just started. The stoppage was never in question to smart fans.
