DREW DOBER VS. JOSH BURKMAN

Round 1 – Hard low kick counter from Dober. Dude has massive legs. Jab from Burkman. Dober stuffs a takedown easily and pins Burkman to the cage where they trade knees to the body. Burkman gets free, lands a low kick. Hard body kick from Burkman, Dober returns with a smacking low kick. Right hand and a takedown attempt from Dober. Burkman defends, lands a left out of the clinch. They trade punches and Burkman blocks a high kick. Hard overhand left from Dober puts Burkman out. Not needed, but he follows up with one more shot and the ref intervenes. One-hitter quitter.

JARRED BROOKS VS. ERIC SHELTON

Round 1 – Shelton catches a kick and dumps him but he’s right up. Brooks with a lot of footwork, in and out, lands a smacking low kick. Again, but gets countered with a right from Shelton. Brooks secures a takedown but can’t hold Shelton down. Clinched against the cage, but Brooks scoops his legs out as he eats some elbows. Brooks looks for a guillotine briefly but Shelton is back up. Brooks stays on him trying to keep him down. Brooks with a couple knees to the neck. Brooks locks on a guillotine but time runs out. 10-9 Brooks

Round 2 – Shelton scores with a right. Brooks staying on the outside with lateral movement. Brooks shoots, but it’s stuffed. Shelton blocks a spinning backfist. Jab and a nice straight right from Shelton. Uppercut from Brooks stuns Shelton briefly. He calls Brooks to bring it on. Shelton catches a leg kick for a perfectly timed takedown. Brooks holding his neck, Shelton rolls out and they’re back on the feet. Brooks with a takedown before the bell. Close round but I’ll score it for Shelton 10-9.

Round 3 – Brooks on the outside again circling the cage as Shelton tries to close in. Shelton catches him with a clean uppercut and Brooks goes to one knee briefly. Brooks goes back to the lateral movement. Body kick from Brooks. Lead left hook from Brooks. Right hand from Shelton. Brooks defends a takedown. Shelton defends a takedown attempt. Flying knee from Shelton as Brooks times it for a takedown, but gets caught in a guillotine as the bell sounds. 10-9 Shelton

ALEXANDRA ALBU VS. KAILIN CURRAN

Round 1 – Albu catches a kick and goes into attack mode. Curran puts her against the cage in the clinch as they trade knees. Curran backs out. Albu fires off some kicks then lands a couple punches before pulling guard. Curran postures up with a right. Albu goes for a leglock but eats a few right hands then Curran jumps on her back. Albu spins back to guard. Curran bullying from the top, drops an elbow but Albu fights to her feet. Left hook from Albu. More punches from Albu. Curran goes for a takedown but Albu uses a whizzer to get top control Back to the feet as they tie up against the cage. Albu’s nose busted up a bit. Curran controlling against the cage. Albu backs out. Right hand from Albu. Hard low kick from Curran. Power takedown from Albu, gets side control and drops an elbow, postures up with punches. Curran trips her and gets up. They battle in the clinch  in the final seconds. 10-9 Albu

Round 2 – Right from Albu. Front kick from Curran. Nice overhand right from Curran. Jab from Albu. Front kick from Albu, but eats a right in return. Couple knees to the body from Albu. Headlock takedown from Albu drives Curran’s head to the canvas. Albu with a couple hammerfists but Curran kicks her off, stands up and lands a couple nice punches. Albu takes her down again with a power headlock. Curran lands an illegal upkick. Ref checks her out and she says she’s okay and they continue from the same position. Curran gets up and ties her up against the cage. Albu with a couple elbows. Curran backs out. Nice body kick from Albu, another. She lands a nice right. Curran right in her face with the jab. Left hook from Albu, then a nice right. Right from Curran. 10-9 Albu

Round 3 – Left jab from Curran. Lead left hook. Curran all over her as Albu tries to back away. Curran lands a head kick. Albu’s nose busted up pretty good. Curran keeping on the pressure. Albu lands a nice right than snaps Curran’s head back. Another right from Albu. Solid left from Curran. They trade big right hands. Albu goes for a takedown but ends up on her back. Curran in side mount. Curran stays busy on top, now inside full guard. Nice elbow from Curran with under a minute to go. Hammerfists and punches from Curran as Albu gets back up. Round 1 – Low kick from Sterling. Side kick to the leg. Another low kick. Barao blocks a kick and dumps Sterling. Sterling goes for a leglock. He lets it go and Barao now on top in full guard. Barao working the ground and pound, staying busy. Sterling looks for an arm briefly as Barao postures up with punches. Barao goes back to working from top. 10-9 Barao

Round 2 – Barao catches Sterling as he attempts a spinning attack. Barao looks for a choke briefly, lets it go. They exchange punches inside. Sterling gets a bodylock takedown and gets Barao’s back with both hooks in. He has Barao’s leg briefly in a kneebar position but lets it go, still on Barao’s back. Sterling softening him up with a few punches. Hard punches and elbows from Sterling as Barao gets out of there and ends up on his back with full guard. Sterling drops some big elbows as Barao looks for an arm. Knees to the bum from Sterling. He postures up with punches and opens him up with an elbow. More punches before the bell. 10-8 Sterling

Round 3 – Front kick to the jaw from Sterling stuns Barao. Sterling puts on the pressure with punches, lands an elbow up the middle then shoots in against the cage. They trade knees before the ref separates them. Sterling pressuring him with strikes. Sterling lands a couple punches, then shoots back in against the cage. Ref separates them. Front kick and right hand from Sterling, then a big left and a high kick. Barao shoots in, gets a body lock from the back but he’s just holding on as the clock ticks down. He gets the takedown and gets Sterling’s back. Sterling spikes him on his head as the round ends. 10-9 Sterling

JASON KNIGHT VS. RICARDO LAMAS

Round 1 – Jab and low kick from Lamas. Lamas starts to go for a takedown but a guillotine threat from Knight causes him to let him stand. But Lamas then secures the takedown anyway, takes side mount. Knight lands an up-kick but Lamas secures top control inside guard. Knight with mission control locking Lamas down. Lamas is able to posture up, eats another up-kick. Knight goes for a leglock as Lamas tries to escape. Knight very active off his back. Knight gets up but Lamas lights him up with punches against the cage. Knight standing tough but he’s getting lit up. Knight showing all heart as he’s getting battered. Knight on his back now and Lamas dives in with a big right that causes the ref to finally stop it.

JIMI MANUWA VS. VOLKAN OEZDEMIR

Round 1 – Low kick from Oezdemir. Manuwa ties him up, pushes him to the cage. Oezdemir hurts him with punches in the clinch against the cage. Manuwa tries getting out of there but Oezdemir stalks him with big punches, Manuwa eats a big left and goes down bouncing his head off the canvas and Oezdemir finishes him off with punches.

ROBBIE LAWLER VS. DONALD CERRONE

Round 1 – Lawler comes out fast and rocks Cowboy early, roughing him up with big shots. Lawler keeping on the pressure as Cowboy tries to get some distance. Cowboy’s right eye has significant swelling early. Cerrone with a knee to the body. Clinched against the cage, Robbie roughing him up good. Nice elbow from Cowboy in the clinch. Clinch knees and dirty boxing going on. Cerrone gets some distance, looks for a takedown but is shrugged off. Lawler presses him to the cage as they continue the clinch war. Cerrone gets some space, lands a head kick. But he ducks right into a knee from Lawler. Cerrone scores a takedown with 2 minutes to go. Cowboy controlling from top, moves to side mount, then north-south position. Knee to the body. Lawler scrambles to his feet. Cowboy with an elbow on the break. Body kick from Lawler. Right high kick from Cowboy. Low kick from Lawler. Wow, Lawler had it early, but Cerrone came back well. Not sure how to score that one to be honest. Living up to the hype with this one no doubt!

Round 2 – Low kick from Lawler. He blocks Cowboy’s high kick. Low kick Cerrone. Nice right from Cowboy. Side kick from Cerrone. Nice elbow inside from Cowboy. Front kick. Low kick, then high from Cowboy. High kick from Robbie, Donald counters with punches as Robbie evades. Clinch knee from Cerrone. They trade body kicks. Cowboy with a high kick. Low kick. He goes high next, but it’s blocked. Side kick from Cerrone. Lawler circling the outside. Cowboy pressures with punches as Robbie covers up. They trade low kicks. Straight right from Cowboy before the bell. Robbie definitely looked slower that round. 10-9 Cerrone

Round 3 – Head kick from Lawler. Knee to the body from Cowboy. Lawler lands another head kick. Cowboy with another knee to the body. Body kick from Lawler. Front kick from Cowboy. Elbow from Cerrone. Lawler tags him with a couple punches, Cowboy shoots in, stuffed. Uppercut from Lawler. Back elbow from Cowboy. Lawler stuffs another takedown. Hard body kick from Lawler. Cerrone don’t like those. High kick from Cowboy. Lawler with a couple rights and Cowboy fires back. Lawler pressuring, lands a body shot. Clinch knee from Cowboy. Lawler stalking, looking for the big one. Left hook from Cowboy. Big uppercut from Lawler, Cowboy claims eye poke but it continues. They trade kicks before the final bell. Wow! We need two more rounds of this. 10-9 Lawler — could go either way guys!

CRIS CYBORG VS. TONYA EVINGER – FOR VACANT WOMEN’S FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE

Round 1 – Tito Ortiz in Cyborg’s corner — surprised they let him in. Touch gloves. Low kick from Evinger and a left who from Cyborg drops her to one knee. She’s back up. Cyborg swarms her with a couple rights and presses her to the cage. Evinger tries to pull guard but Cyborg makes her stand up. Couple right hands from Cyborg who is being patient. Low kick from Cyborg. Again. Evinger looks for the takedown and gets it but can’t keep her there. Cyborg lands a knee as they get up. Cyborg takes a poke in the eye and time is called. … They call the doctor in. … She says she’s good, here we go. … Inside low kick from Cyborg. Hard knee to the body from Cyborg. Hard right from Cyborg. Body kick from Tonya. Head kick from Cyborg. Inside low kick from Cyborg, again. Hard right from Cyborg, and she lands a knee right before the bell. 10-8 Cyborg

Maybe it went a little longer than many thought it would, but Cyborg put on a calculated textbook performance.

Round 1 – Will be interesting to see how Tyron deals with Demian’s height and reach, and submissions of course. Maia pressures early, shoots but can’t secure the takedown. Maia tries again and is already cut and his left eye is swollen badly from an uppercut. Maia gets a leg but can’t secure the takedown. Left hand from Maia. Tyron on the outside with lateral movement. Maia shoots again for the single, no dice. Tyron warned for grabbing the fence. Hard left from Maia, but can’t get the takedown once more. Right counter from Woodley scores. Woodley being very patient. Right from Woodley blocked. Maia shoots, stuffed again. Body shot from Maia. 10-9 Woodley

Round 2 – Right hand from Woodley. Low kick inside from the champ. Straight left from Maia but he gets dropped with a right. Woodley lets him up. Tyron stalking and talking. Left straight from Maia scores. Jab from Woodley, stalking, Maia shoots for a single but Woodley escapes. Right to the head then to the body from Maia. Woodley avoids another takedown attempt. Round 5 – Maia gets in deep on a double leg but Woodley once again defends… the 17th shot from Maia. And another, and another, both defended by Woodley. And again. Uppercut from Woodley as Maia ducks in. Left from Woodley. Maia with a left. High kick from Maia blocked. Maia shoots again, Woodley avoids it. Straight left from Maia. Right from Woodley as the crowd chants “boring, boring”. One minute to go. Jab from Woodley. Left from Maia. Clinch, couple knees from Maia. 10-9 Maia … ugly ugly fight and I would score it for Maia just based on Woodley’s timidity. But that’s just me.

DANIEL CORMIER (C) VS. JON JONES – FOR LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE

Round 1 – Man, Jon looks so much bigger than DC. Jones in the spider stance as they start. Low kick from Jon, left hand. Front kick from Jon. Uppercut knocks Jon’s mouthpiece out. Ref puts it back in. Takedown from Jon but DC rolls right up. Hard left from Jon. Low kick from DC. Body shot from Jon. DC looks like a middleweight against Jones. Low kick from DC. They tie up and Jon shucks him off. Body shot, low kicks from Jon. Big knee to the body from Jones. Knee to the body from Jon. DC stalking. Body kick from Jon. Lead left hook from DC. Overhand right from Jon. Nice right from Jones. Hard low kick from DC. Left hook up stairs from DC. Couple straight lefts from Jon. DC tags him with a couple punches, clinched briefly. Right hand over the top from DC. Low kick, right hand from DC. Lead left hook, body shot from Jones. Left to the body from Jones. Right hand from Jones. DC trash talking him as he makes Jones miss. Clinch, trip from DC but Jones recovers and DC lands a knee to the body. DC pressuring. Body shot from Jones, another. Straight left from Jones. Cormier walking him down. Round 3 – Left to the body from Jones. Couple of low kicks. Jones with more low kicks, body kick. Step in knee to the body from Jones. Uppercut from DC. Body shot from Jon. Right to the body from DC. Jones rocks him hard with a head kick, he wobbles backward. Jones smells blood and goes for the kill, trips him with a sweep. Cormier goes down, Jones smashes him with several big punches and Cormier is done. Cormier slow to recover. Jones becomes first guy to ever finish DC.
