If the writing of WWE hasn’t made you scratch your head yet, this will get you there.

So it wasn’t always the plan for Jinder Mahal  to defeat Randy Orton Sunday at backlash.  Rusev had been slated for the spot Mahal is in.  He was even told to be in Chicago to kickstart the feud with Randy.  BUT…

Two hours before The pay per view started, WWE officials decided to let Mahal win the championship. Reportedly, the plan is still in place for Rusev to win next month’s money in the bank.  As of right now a match hasn’t been announced officially for him yet.  There is no word on if and when he will be placed in a program with Randy Orton.

It sounds like a giant mess in the writer’s room for WWE.
